Building your MLM Leads List

In traditional network marketing methods, your sponsor will advise you to make an " MLM Leads List " .
But is this network marketing prospecting tactic really necessary?... making a list of everyone you know or have ever met, from your personal friends and family (current and long-lost), to the business and professional people that you've used over the years, to your co-workers at your job?
This is termed your "warm market" list, or your "100 names list".

New MLM distributors usually dread making an MLM lead list, but are encouraged to do so anyway, often setting them up for disappointing, embarrassing, and demoralizing rejection from the people that they see everyday.

More enlightened network marketing training will often teach: Yes, make your MLM list and send each person a general announcement about your new business.
This gets the word out, but doesn't put pressure on your MLM prospect or set you up for face-to-face rejection.
And it prevents this frustrating situation: someone that you know learns about network marketing and follows another sponsor because they didn't know that you were available to sponsor them... especially frustrating if it's the same MLM company as yours!

Other traditional network marketing prospecting ideas that help you to avoid the need to directly approach a person involve a little bit of "bait":

  • passing out business cards
  • placing newspaper adds
  • putting advertising on your vehicle
  • wearing a button with an enticing or curious phrase
  • openly using your product in a location where it will be seen by others
  • giving away free samples of your product

These methods only eliminate the first step, though. Once the person takes the bait and asks you what it means, you're on your own. Fortunately, you can find good MLM Training. So commit yourself to a program of self improvement and motivation, so that you'll be prepared to talk to your MLM prospects in a way that leads to your MLM success.
